Betty, you are correct.There are three William Horton's in succession.wiliam son of Silas Horton.He married Phebe Rumsey.They had a son William who became a Dr. and was well know for his work as a Doctor and subsequently as a Botanist, Geologist and minerolodist.he died fairly young and many of his papers never got published.He Married Maria Ryneck and they had a son William Harrison Horton.He also became a doctor I believe.He married Prudence sayer Warner and they had two children one of which is my great grandfather.He also died quite young.around 30.May be why there isn't much info on himn.Don't have a birth date.He died in 1847 Month & day ?.He was married in 1839.I wish I could find his birth date and his dead date,
