Re: Hosking Family

Pretty amazing with only one message in the Hosking forum but we appear to be researching the same Hosking family. I am looking for Captain Thomas Hosking who married the sister of my greatgreatgreatgrandfather Louisa Williams. She was born in 1813 in Perran, Cornwall, which is near Redruth, and they were married in Perran, probably about 1833, so they could even be the parents of your William Hosking. At least they were likely related. I have been researching the Hoskings families in Cornwall and most of them appear to have originally come from the area of St.Ives. I will check to see if I have information on anyone else who might have been William's parents. I am going to see what I can find in the 1851 census.
