Re: Joel House, US Census 1790 from CT

I have been looking around for Joel House also.I have been looking at the Indian Census and found so many HOUSE's. I find Joel House and wife Lydia, but they were born abt 1888.You are a generation beyond me.I notice the census pages list them as Indian and then in the early 1900's it says white.So how many generations can we go back to find the first white HOUSE married into the Indian side.I have been looking and printing for several days but unable so far to connect anyone to the HOUSE family I'm looking into. Its a real puzzle.They lived in Menomenie area. I get the Oneida and the right reservation, but unable to pin anything together so far. I would be interested in anything you might find out? I have so many Charles and George's in this family.
