Re: Ambrose Pinkney House: NC 1840-1918
I have seen the Find a grave info & was glad to have it.I don't do Ancestry ($$), I will be glad to send you a couple of photos of Ambrose.
Andrew Monroe House married Mary C. McCall & their children were Bertha, Dean, and Emsley.Honestly, I did do much work on Andrew's family because I was so intent on finding my line from Ambrose.
Ambrose P. House, William John House, Andrew Monroe House, and Mary Matilda House were the children of John Jackson House and Almara Baker.
John Jackson House was the son of William and Elizabeth House. But that is where the line ends.I am not able to make the jump to Mark House or to any others in that line.
My Grandmother's family were the Holtzclaw's.They were at the Germanna Colony in Virginia and there were House's there then, but I can't find the link.
If you can, go to the Union County (NC) Public Library and go to the heritage room there.Rowan County (NC) library in Salisbury has a good genealogy room on the 3rd floor.
Thank you for the post. When I find out more on Andrew Monroe House, I will post it for you. What do you need to find out?
