Tracy,
Ambrose was a prison guard at the Salisbury Prison (I think).I did see that somewhere.Look at the Salisbury Prison site.

What do you have on William and Elizabeth?All I have is their names.There are 4 William Houses in the NC 1790 census.I found William House (B:1795/D:1829?) Married in about 1815 to Elizabeth.Three children: John Jackson House, Miranda House, and Ellen House.They were in Union County.
