Concerning Elias House of Mecklenburg Co, NC

I do not believe Elias was married twice. according to the St. John's Church records, there were TWO Elias House. One was the Revolutionary soldier and is believed to buried there at the Church in Mecklenburg Co. If this is true, then the Elias requesting the pension in IL may have been fraudulent application.

The other Elias is said to have married
Barbara Quilman MEISENHEIMER in 29 Jul, 1808 and according to Church records is the one who baptized a son named MOSES.

It never ceases to amaze me all the CRAP someone comes up with to try to CREATE rather than document their family tree.

A TRUE GENEALOGIST is open minded, a stickler for accuracy and documentation, does not force the pieces to fit, but curious about where this wonderful path leads.
