re: 1 Nov 1660
Assignment by Arthur Hill, Kilwarline, co Down, N. Ireland
to Rev. Alexander Colvill, Galtgorme / Galgorm / Gilgorm, co Antrim, D.D.,
of annuity issuing from lands, tenements, hereditaments, etc. in Ballye, Drumine, Dungall, Monnaghan and Cregvarin in the Tough of Clanagherty, County Antrim :
the annuity originally granted by Robert Adair, Esq.
to the Earl of Antrim as security for the payment of a sum,
and assigned by the Earls son, as his fathers heir, to Arthur Hill.
There was an Allexander Houston living at Galgorm about 1638,
possibly 4th son of William Houston and Marionne Adair.

Was Capt. William Houston a relative of William Shaw
who may have been related to McCulloch family ?
Capt. William Houston (of Craigs / Cullybackey, co Antrim, N. Ireland)
was probably related to
Sir Robert Adair who died c.1655 after the above will was written in 1652,
but before the will was probated in 1659.
John Shaw of Greenock, son of Alexander Shaw of Sauchie,
m. 1565, his cousin Jean Cunningham, dau of John Cunningham of Glengarnock,
and they had 5 sons and six daus.
The eld dau, Elizabeth Shaw, m. 1587, Hugh Montgomery sixth of Braidstane,
afterwards First Viscount of the Ards.
The 4th dau, Christian Shaw, m. Patrick Montgomery of Blackhouse,
son of John Montgomery of the Braidstane family.
The 6th and ygst dau m. Thomas Nevin third of Monkredding.
In Sep 1636, Thomas Nevin of Monkredding,
his cousin Thomas Nevin of co Down, N. Ireland,
his son Hugh Nevin, his son-in-law Henry Savage,
and his bro-in-law John Shaw of Greenock,
attended the funeral in Ireland of their kinsman,
Sir Hugh Montgomery of the Ards (Newtowne).
In 1745 there was a Rev. George Marlay,
protestant Bishop of Dromore, co Down, N. Ireland
and in 1750 a Rev. Richard Marlay of Drumballyroney, Vicar of the Parish perhaps related to Thos Maly (above) ?
