Janet (Babe) McBain, Qu'Appelle, Sask. was born in Qu'Appelle, Sask. on October 16, 1916, she passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital on November 13, 2005. Janet took her nurses training at the Regina General Hospital in 1944. She lived in the Qu'Appelle District, farming with her husband Joe and nursing at Qu'Appelle and Fort Qu'Appelle Hospitals. Janet is survived by her son Doug (Edith), son in law, Cliff (Chester) Paddington and his wife Mary; her grandchildren: Rick, Kristal (Mike), Scott (Sally), Carrie, Tyler (Sherine), her great grandchildren, Kennedy, Jordan and Ayea; two sisters in law, Laurel and Elsie Howden. Janet was predeceased by her husband Joe in 1991; daughter Mary in 1977, daughter in law, Karen in 1974, grandson Patrick Howland in 1999; her brothers and sisters: William (Wig), Jack, Thomas, Andrew and James Howden; her sisters: Elizabeth (Bessie) and Agnes Howden. She will be greatly missed by her family, relatives and many, many good friends. Thank you to Dr. Rehman and the medical staff on 3F and 5A at the Regina General Hospital. The funeral service will be held in St. Peter's Anglican Church, Qu'Appelle, Sask. on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev Cheryl Johnson. Cremation with interment in St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Vernon District at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter's Anglican Church, Qu'Appelle, Sask. S0G 4A0.
