Looking for Simpson-Howson Cork pictures
This is a long shot but my grandmother, Phoebe Simpson-Howson, born 1901 in Durham county, had in her possession a cork picture that was made by her father that portrays their family home. She told the story that each of the nine children in her family was given a cork picture as well. I recall my grannie saying that he made one for each of his daughters, not the sons.
My grandmother immigrated to Canada and married George Labonte-Smith. When my grannie passed away, her picture was willed to her eldest daugher, my aunt Nina, and when she passed away it went to her eldest daughter.
My father, Victor Labonte-Smith, would dearly love to purchase any cork pictures that might remain.
Any leads would be much appreciated.
