Hi again Cindy, the book that gave the Eunice as being from Maine was Lieut Roger Plaisted of Kittery, by King, 1904, pages 63+ but I have been it in another one which I can't find right now on the Ricker genealogy. Both only give the last name Perkins no first name known. The book Robert Huckins of the Dover Combination, Henry W. Hardon, 1914 lists the first name as Eunice with no other info. She is of course missing from the census in years in which her state of birth or date would be recorded.

There are two combinations - Samuel Plaisted and Margery Huckins whom you are researching and a different Margery Plaisted who married a Huckins in Lubec Maine, she was supposed to have been from New Hampton NH and its possible the Huckins was from that area or his ancestors were. The Canadian place of birth could be possible, any idea of how Eunice would have met Ricker has she been born there?I do see some connections up in that area between upper Eastern Maine and NS. In fact that is where the other Margery Plaisted who m the Huckins is from.

Samuel Plaisted's brother William also married a Huckins and I think some of that Huckins line went to Maine.

Lots of mysteries in those lines.Good luck with your research, Beverly
