Re: Huggetts from Surrey,GB to Aus in 1849 and others
The tree on the Huggetts you copied ages ago was by David Huggett, of Saskatchewan, Canada, my (third) cousin.I have aslo copied it and have added to it, being fairly close to the Surrey History Centre in Woking, Surrey, GB.I am very happy to send it over to you (it is actually broken down into 4 trees for ease of maintenance) as an attachmnet to a mail.
My personal mail is [email protected], so if you would like to mail me direct I will reply with the trees. They are Word documents which I will copy as rtf (rich text format), so you should have no trouble viewing and picking out the bits you want.I have no people born after about 1900 so no privacy problems.
As to your Finnish Higgins ancestor I did not know the story about jumping chip and changing his name - presumably all before he met and married Jane Huggett.I guess you and David must have corresponded because I have a few generations of Higgins on the tree; he did not know about the Diver cousins however which I got from another source (I think Jan Addison who is quite active in Aus websites on Huggett/Froude/Bates descendants).
Waiting then to hear, regards Richard Huggett
