WEST NASHVILLE - Willoughby Dozier "W.D." Hulan Sr., 76, died April 13, 2003, Saint Thomas Hospital. Mr. Hulan was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his son, W.D. "Tim" Hulan Jr.; parents, George and Ida Mai Prince Hulan; sister, Mattie Lee Hulan Ford; and brother, George T. Hulan. Survivors include his devoted wife of 56 years, Mary Jane Osborn Hulan; daughters, Marilyn (Russ) Hulan Smith Prince, Tina (James Chico) Hulan Fuller and Cynthia (Jerry) Hulan Black, all of Nashville; son, Lorne A. (Denise) Hulan I of Fairview; daughter-in-law, Cindy Moore Hulan of Nashville; grandchildren, Tiffany (Sandy) Smith Robinson, Natasha Smith Fletcher, Shanah Craig, Adina (Chase) Craig Sullivan, Gerald Black II, Candace Hulan, Timothy Hulan, Lisa Hulan, L.A. Hulan II and Allison Hulan; great-grandchildren, Connor Robinson, Hunter Robinson, Andrew Fletcher Jr., Taylor Fletcher, Dylan Craig, Daniel Craig and Matthew Craig; and beloved nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday with Calvin Parker, Rory Ford and Ed Ford officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Nephews will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Richland Creek Church of Christ, Harpeth River Sportsman Club, RUN, members of VFW Post 1970, retirees of Baird-Ward Printing Co., the staff at NHC Home Healthcare of Dickson and National Nephrology Associates-Dialysis and the nursing staff of Saint Thomas Hospital and Lakeshore Wedgewood. Also serving as honorary pallbearers are Dr. Vito Rocco, Dr. Richard Geer, Dr. Alan Naftilan, Dr. John McRay, Dr. Dante Graves, Dr. James H. Baker, Dr. John Warner, Dr. Michael Patracek, Dr. Raymond Martin, Dr. Gates Wayburn and Dr. Kenneth Moffat. Special love and thanks are offered to Amy Crownover.
