The Weyauwegian - Weyauwega, WIJuly 4, 1856
MARRIEDIn the town of Amrous, Portage County, Wis., June 24th, 1856,
by the Rev. Wm. E. Hamilton, Mr. SAMUEL LINSEY, of Waupaca and Miss ROXEY
HUMISTON, of the former place.
So, it looks like they were in Portage County, Wisconsin. Why they appeared on the archives for the Waupaca county mailing list is not clear.
Go to the Ancestry query board for Waupaca county,
search for "Humiston" - make sure to check "Waupaca Board"
One hit in particular:
From the Waupaca Post newspaper - Waupaca, WI
May 1, 1880
HUMISTON - In the town of Waupaca, Tuesday, April 27, 1880, Mr. ASEL HUMISTON. Age, 72 years.
because on the IGI,
Birth:1837, , Vermont
Record submitted after 1991 by a member of the LDS Church. No additional information is available. Ancestral File may list the same family and the submitter.
Which looks like the Humistons were living in that part of Wisconsin then. I couldn't find Samuel or Roxy on he 1880 census. You might join the Waupaca and/or Portage mail lists long enough to ask about them.
