Have you had any luck with this family?I suspect that your Benajah is a brother to Giles and Jason Humiston, sons of James, son of James, son of John Humiston married to Sarah Tuttle.

I found references for Jason and Giles in church records of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Durham, Greene County, New York and the beginnings of the church there.Included in those records are a couple of references to a Phebe Humiston.She is my real interest at this point - on of the references refers to a baptism of a Horace Newton, son of Sister Phebe Humiston.We have a Sherlock Humiston who married a "Phebe" (they would be either second or third cousins) and had a couple of children in Durham, they are both buried in Troy where their sons located.
