George Humphreys

I am searching for information on George Humphreys, b. 1800 in N.C., d. 1854 in Red River Co., Tx.He probably lived in Ms. for a time and moved to Tx. in the late 1840's.His wife is listed on the 1850 census as Mary Ann.She later remarried a man named Burris after George's death.She appears to be a second wife and much younger than he.If you have any information on George's life before Tx., I would appreciate so much knowing about him.Thank you!
