Yes, I came from William through his son John Adams Humphreys who married Amanda Clark.They had 3 daughters and one son who died very young.My grandmother Lucy Humphreys married Wiley Harris Hudson.They had about 5 sons and 2 daughters.Four of the sons had children.My father was Lenox the oldest son.

There was an Humphries family that lived not far from my grandmother.I knew them, but the children were older than me, so the names have left me.I am sure they were descendents of George, because William didn't have any other sons who grew to adulthood or had children.Grandmother told me that, but she died when I was ten, and things didn't sink in very well.

(William and Mary had 12 children, but only four reached adulthood.Several were buried while they were moving around on the way to Texas.William donated the first land for a cemetery in Bogata because one of his daughters died and they buried her there.)

I have been looking for the Humphreys in South Carolina.Since you think George came from NC, I'll shift my focus.Maybe one of us can find somebody.What was George's mother's name?I only know they were half-brothers.
