My main source is the extractions made by Dr. Peter Sherlock (Editor of The Hungerford and Associated Families Society Journal)of the research papers of Canon J. E. Jackson (1805-1891).The original records are in England.His records are hand-written and are hard to read--similar to Col. Awdry's material.I have a copy of the 6 microfilm reels of the collection as I had a (very small) roll in getting them microfilmed.

Walter's mother was Susanna Danvers.His father was the infamous Walter Hungerford who was born in 1503 and was executed at Tower Hill 28 Jul 1541.
This Walter was the son of Jane Zouch.His father and her husband was Sir Edward (d. 1521)
Edward's father was Sir Walter (d. 1516)His wife was Jane _______.
Walter's father was Robert Hungerford, Lord Moleyns (1431-18 May 1464)His mother was Eleanor Moleyns.
Lord Moleyns father was Robert, Lord Hungerford (1409-14 May 1459).His mother was Margaret Botreaux (bur. 1477)
Robert's father was Walter, Lord Hungerford (22 Jun 1378-9 Aug 1449)His mother was Catherine Peverell (@1382-9 May 1439)
Mary's father was Anthony (d. 1661) and her mother was Bridget Stevens (bur. 1 Aug 1659).
Anthony's parents were Thomas (d. 1642) and Ann (Hungerford) Hungerford.Ann died 30 Jun 1657.She was the daughter of Anthony and Joan (Partridge) Hungerford.(I will detail this line in a moment.)
Thomas' parents were Anthony and Israel (Goddard) Hungerford.
Anthony was the son of Thomas and Edith (Strange) Hungerford.
Thomas was the son of Sir Anthony (bur. 19 Nov 1558) and Dorothy (Danvers) Hungerford.Dorothy was buried in 1559 in East Skefford.
Sir Anthony was the son of Sir John and Margaret (Blount) Hungerford.
Sir John was the son of Sir Thomas (1444- bur. 1494) and Christina (Halle) Hungerford.She was buried 1504.
Sir Thomas was the son of Sir Edmund (1410-26 Mar 1484) and Margaret (Burnell) Hungerford.Margaret died 27 Mar 1486 at Down Ampney.
Sir Edmund was the son of Walter, Lord Hungerford and Catherine Peverell.
Back to Anthony--husband of Joan Partridge.Anthony was the son of Henry and Jane (Webb) Hungerford.Henry died in Winstone in 1586.He was the son of Sir Anthony and Dorothy (Danvers) Hungerford.
