My gggrandfather Michael C. Hungerford came from Scioto cty.Went to Calif. leaving his brother James C., behind.I went to work to verify his fathers name.James Hervy was in the right time frame. His marriage record in Scoito to Susan Coryell.Another Hervy or Henery was married to Jane Coryell. (Don't have anything on them yet) 1819. On the same dates also, leads me to believe they are related somehow.Anyway, The 1820 Census shows James (or Hervy) as just married. The 1830 census shows 2 boy 1 girl. Then in 1840 he is in Cooper Cty Mo.None of my family is enumerated in Sc. Cty. at this time. I think. In 1850 James C. is enumerated with 2n wife. Amanda Wilson. First is Samatha Lair. 8 Jan 1843.I went to the family history center and looked up in the census of 1910 Los Angeles, Ca. orginal records for Michael C. and found out his father was born in Vermont. So from his fathers marriage record I subtracted or added 20 years for a birth year. Then I looked him up in the IGI files.Bingo, some relative had put him in with 2 brothers, and his father & mothers first name. No, the Levi I have is in the town of Highgate, Franklin,Vt.There were two listed but in separate towns.. I searched the town clerks records to verify the accuracy, and found it right. His mother is Lucinda.I do belive she may have died having the last child in Vt.I have found some census takers didn't record baby's and she isn't listed.Just Levi 2 boys & 1 Girl in the 1800 census. The third son was named Harris. b. 1802. Well got to go.Love to correspond with everyone in Scioto. and You Richard.
