Stanley's book indicates that Simeon and Levi are sons of Daniel, son of Jonathan and Martha Wells. It states that Simeon and Levi built at St. Albans Bay a canal boat. It states that Simeon m. Elizabeth Birchard and that Simeon died in Highgate, VT 1819.
Yet, based on guardianship papers for the sons of Elijah, son of Jonathan and Martha Wells, he also had sons Simeon and Levi and, since their guardians appear in Highgate area, I had assumed that the Simeon and Levi there were these sons of Elijah.
Elsewhere on this forum is discussion of Simeon who settled in TN. His descendents appear to have carried the Birchard/Burchard name forward.
My questions: 1.Were the Simeon and Levi who settled in the Highgate area the sons of Elijah or Daniel? 2. If Simeon, son of Daniel, married Elizabeth Birchard, and went to TN and had a furniture business, is the information regarding the Highgate Simeon that is #287 in Stanley's book connected to the wrong Simeon.
