Pioneer Resident of Helena Dies in Billings. Mrs. George Hunnewell Came Here in 1868 As A Girl.
Billings, Feb 6--Mrs. Anna M. Hunnewell, 92, who lived in Helena in 1868, died in a nursing home here after a long illness.
Mrs. Hunnewell was born Anna Margaret Henry in Philadelphia. When she was 16 years old the family came west and settled in Last Chance Gulch. There in 1873, she married George T. Hunnewell.
After residing for some time in Silver City, near Helena, the family moved to Chester in 1904. Mr. Hunnewell died in Chester in 1915 and Mrs. Hunnewell came to Billings to live. Surviving are three sons, Walter R. of Billings, William F. of Olney, and George T. Hunnewell of Chester; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held here today. Burial was in Chester beside the grave of Mr. Hunnewell.
