I am in contact with a descendant of Gaspar/Caspar Roland/Rowland/Rauland in Germany and he has given me some data. Here is some notes: The name may originally be spelled Rauland or Rouland.
Casper Roland (in German, spelled Gaspar Rowland/Rouland)
Relligion of Dunkers.Casper was able to baptize with his religion.
Casper Roland (spelled Rowland/Rouland) immigrated on the ship "Friendship"
Alix'r Thomson, Master, from Rotterdam to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
on Oct. 12, 1741. The Oath of Allegiance was taken the same date as
his landing in Pa. His age was given as 20. Casper made his mark, however he was literate in German.
Some of the line moved to Ireland and some went to England and then tol the American Colonies
I would be happy to send you the data that I have.
