William Hunt>1811-1872>>Georgia

My GG grandfather, William L. Hunt was born around 1811. He first
showed up in Houston Co., Ga. when he married Marthenee Bateman,
daughter of Bryan Bateman in 1833. Bryan was attached to the Batemans in
the Baldwin Co. Ga. area.William's children were: William G., b 1836,married
Catherine Newman and lived in Pulaski Co., Ga.; Mary Jane, b.1838; Seaborn McDonald,
(my G)b 1841; and George McAllister Dallas Hunt, b.1845 who died as a Confederate
soldier in Richmond during the Civil War. The elder William was clerk of court of
Houston/Crawford Co. around 1838. He moved on to Worth Co, Ga with the same job.
