Re: John Hunt, b. March 30, 1623

I have just recently been given information that explains the name "Thomas Hunt Smith" repeating through three generations of my family.I long suspected that Hunt was the maiden name of some young woman.Now I know that Hannah Hunt (b. March 1709, Newtown, Long Island, d. August 1759) was the daughter of Edward Hunt (b. abt. 1685 in Long Island) and Elizabeth Hazard.

Could you tell me if this is part of the Hunt branch you have information on?I noticed that your dates go back further and hoped thatthey were the grandparents of my Edward Hunt.
