Hi Cheri,
I think there must be more than one Lavina. (Lavoda as you spelled it.)but what is even more interesting is the additional reference with the unusual name of Ludesta. The Ludesta I have is a child of Lovina Huntley and Charles Davidson
Here's my documentation:
Lovina (Lavina--spelling not to clear but it's definitely not Lovoda) Huntley d/o Henry Huntley and Catherine Cardwell was born 2/1/1859 in Huntington Twp, Gallia Co, OH and died 11/20/1941 in Franklin Co, OH per DC 66767.SHE married Charley Davidson in Gallia Co 3/14/1880 per Vol 5, p.150 at the Gallia Co Courthouse. She and Charles are buried at Franklin Cemetery in Gallia Co, OH.
Now they had a daughter Ludesta Davidson b. 11/14/1883 in Huntington Twp, Gallia Co on 11/14/1883 per Vol 2, p.41 Certificate #17.
Can you further clarify the ancestors you were refering to with similar names?I think we have a connection someplace....BISHOP/Scurlock's intermingled with DAVIDSON, HUNTLEY, OILER, KISOR, POOR, POPE, WHITE, and many more.My interest in the Davidson's is that the Bishop's married into that line and one of the BISHOP descendents have a Bible that was bought at the estate sale.Without the Bible we are stuck on Bishop's.
Have you ever heard of an L. E. Davidson? That is the person that was the informant on the above Lavina's DC.
Thanks, Hope to hear more.
