Cathy~ Well, Well, I must say that your question about Herman Husbands (son of Herman Husbands-PA/NC did now present a question for me.I called my cousin (Roy) who is Herman's GGGGrandson and one of the Husband genealogists. He did tell me that we did know that Herman did have a son named Herman Jr. but all we know about him is that he died in 1797.We can't 'hook him' up with any more information, let alone a son named Lewis/Louis.Roydid tell me though that his Aunt told him that one of Herman's son's (named Herman) was one of the soldiers with George Washington when he crossed the Delaware but we have not been able to prove that either.Roy did suggest that there is quite a lot of Husband information in Harrisburg, PA in the Revolutionary archives and also there might be a list of the soldiers that crossed the Delaware River with George Washington in their Revolutionary War list at the Smithsonian.I have information about my Husband line which goes to Herman Husband, his son Isaac Tuscape and his son Herman (yes, another Herman) and his son Joseph and his son Roy and my grandfather David.I must apologize for saying that Herman Husbands did NOT have a son Herman because according to my Roy, yes there was a son Herman who died in 1797 (the same year as his sister Phoebe who died in Somerset, PA....but that is the extent of our knowledge about him.So sorry to be another dead-end for you but if your friend ever finds out any more information, if you would, please let me know.Do you know anything more about your friend's relationship with the Husband family?Sure would like to find another cousin.Take care, Cathy, and please keep in touch.
Gratefully,
Molly Carson
