Greetings to all! First time posting. I am searching for more information about the Hussey family from Kerry. My great grandfather is John Hussey married to Mary Moynihan. His parents: Edward Hussey married to Ellen Connor. Mary Moynihan's parents: John and Catherine Moynihan. My grandfather and his five Hussey brothers all emigrated to the US starting in 1904. My grandfather is Patrick Hussey and came to NY, sponsored by "Aunt Catherine Moriarty". His brothers followed to America, mostly by way of Boston: Tom, John, Edward, Michael and James. Tom married and had a family, John was drafted into WW1 and died, KIA, WW1 Hero at St. Juvon, France and awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. He is buried in Ireland at Kilshannig in the Hussey Tomb. Edward returned to the Hussey farm in Ireland. Michael died of the Spanish Flu in US WW1 boot camp. James settled in Brooklyn, NY, never married. I am seeking to connect with other Hussey/Moynihan/Connor folk to learn more. Thanks to all.
