Re: Lynn, MA, 1600's .. Descendants of Thomas' sons ..
Hello.I have done more on-line investigating this morning, and I have discovered that many researchers have confused the children of Thomas and Anne (BROWN) HUTCHINSON with the children of William and Anne (MARBURY) HUTCHINSON.
According to the will of Adam HAWKES in Lynn, MA, in 1672, he was step-father to the following children:
Francis HUTCHINSON, Samuel HUTCHINSON, Thomas HUTCHINSON, Edward HUTCHINSON, and Mrs. Elizabeth (HUTCHINSON) HART.
I will do more on-line investigating during the next week or so, but it looks like these five HUTCHINSON siblings would have initially remained in the Lynn, Salem, Ipswich, and Reading, etc., areas of MA.
I am curious whether anyone is researching them.
I do not yet know the birthdates of the above HUTCHINSON siblings, but they would have been born in the 1620's, probably. They reportedly arrived with their parents with "the Winthrop Fleet" in 1630, at what ages I do not know.(Thomas, the father, either died on board the ship, or within days after their arrival.)
The widow, Mrs. Anne HUTCHINSON, married Adam HAWKES a year later. My "guess" is that they were on board the same ship and that is how they knew each other in 1630.
