James A Hutson TN possible son of AL Hutson GA

By Jim Hutson July 24, 2012 at 03:34:00

I am in desparate need of help to find more info on my Hutson family. I know my desendants back to James A Hutson of McMinn/Monroe Co TN 1870. I know where my gg grandfather is buried and his wife Elizabeth Betty Russell Hutson. I know they had 3 sons William Reily Hutson, Robert Nixon Hutson and Joseph W Hutson all of Monroe/McMinn Co TN. For over 20 years I believed that James A Hutson was son of A. L. Hutson and Sarah Stanton Hutson of Murray Co Ga 1850 census. This seemed the only James A Hutson I could find in GA durng this period. I was looking in GA because of verbal family history stated he came from GA cir 1860. The 1850 census of Murray Co GA shows a James A Hutson son of A. L. Hutson and Sarah Stanton Hutson born 1847/48. Recently I found the A L Hutson lineage in Saline Co MO with many of the family buried there. At issue is: this family (I have spoken with decendants) claims they have a James Hutson buried in a Cemetery in Saline Co MO. They have not been able to verify the dates or the name of James A Hutson (graves are over grown). The 1850 census in Murray Co GA states A L Hutson was born in TN. Sarah, A L Hutson wife born in SC and their first 2 children are listed as born in TN. The remaining being born in GA. I cannot find an A L Hutson anywhere in TN in earlier census/info. I am trying to connect the families of McMinn/Monroe Cos TN with the family in Saline Co MO. I have reason to believe that this family moved some time in 1860's to Rusk Co TX then moved on to Saline Co MO. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find siblings of or parents of A L Hutson. A L Hutson is not buried with the rest of his family in Saline Co MO and we know he did not make MO for the 1870 census. Sarah and some of the other children did make the 1870 cenus in Saline Co MO. My belilef is James A was the only child to stay behindin TN and the rest of the family moved to TX, then on to MO. Any help wold be deeply appreciated. You may contact me at [email protected]
