Jerry,

<< I'm willing to accept that Nicholas and Martha married on May 16, 1646 not 1647 and that Nathaniel was born on November 11, 1646, not 1647. >>

I wouldn't, if I were you. There's absolutely no evidence for a specific marriage date--day, month, or year--for Nicholas and Martha Ide.No matter how often it may appear in the literature, saying it doesn't make it so.And modifying by a year a date for which there is no basis simply compounds the problem. We can estimate it as being "by about 1647," but that's all--and that assumes that Nathaniel was born probably a couple of months--not an entire year--earlier than the 11 November 1647 date in his birth record. But since we can't be certain, I'd present Nathaniel's birth data thus: "born, probably at Rehoboth, 11 November [sic] 1647."
