Nancy Ann Ingraham/Ingram
Is anyone researching an Ingraham/Ingram family who had a daughter kidnapped about 1789 in North Carolina? From a Biographical book published in 1902 by Chapman Publishing Co. site:
The Biography of Stephen M. Davidson talks about Stephen's mother Nancy Ann Ingraham and her being kidnapped when she was three and her family spending their fortune trying to find her, they didn't succeed until after she was married with three children, which would put the year about 1815.
Nancy Ann Ingraham/Ingram is my 4th great grandmother, we believe her father's name could be John Ingram, that is based on land ownership near where Nancy Ann and her husand Thomas Davidson moved to in 1840, Johnson County, Missouri. It is my understanding Nancy Ann received a dower of some land in this county about this time...1840ish, which she and her husband moved onto and then purchased additional land.
Anyone who has any information or doing any research on this family, please email me, we've been trying to find out anything we can on Nancy Ann prior to her marrying.Email me firstname.lastname@example.orgI look forward to hearing from anyone with information, I'll gladly share what information I have.Thank you all so much.
