I came across the Inrig genealogy board quite by accident, and became interested when I saw my great grandparents' names posted. Their names are/were James and Janet Cormack. My grandfather, Alexander Inrig, was born in Keiss, Scotland, in the late 1800s. (I'd have to check up on the exact date.) He had a brother named George. (In fact, he named his own second son George.) Alex was a dour Scot who lived with us for about 20 years, following the death of his wife, Bessie (Smith.) He was a loving and kind granddaddy. Alex was a shoemaker, and had a shop in downtown Victoria. His son George learned the trade from him and worked with him for many years. As well as George, Alex had a daughter, Margaret, who passed away in 2004. (She was my mum.) He also had sons James and Stanley. Both of them are gone also. I heard the names "Judge George and Elaine" often, but can't remember meeting them. ("Oh, east is east and west is west, and never the twain shall meet?") However, I did meet an "eastern" Inrig when I was VERY young. We called her Auntie Christine. I was the recipient of a "Wee Wisdom" children's magazine which came from her regularly, and which I remember looking forward to hugely.
I hope this reaches you: perhaps there is a chance, if your email addresses have not changed in the past several years.
