To answer one of your questions, yes, there were two of them. Amasa Ives, Sr., was b. 11/10/1747 in Wallingford, CT.He's the Revolutionary War veteran.His son, Amasa, Jr., was b. 1770.Betsey White was the wife of the younger Amasa.The elder Amasa's parents were Stephen Ives (b. 3-25-1703/4 in Wallingford, CT) and Sarah Hart (b. 3-21-1710).

I have a fair amount of information on this branch of the family.The good news is that I apparently have some information you don't have, and you clearly have some information I lack.The bad news? My information has some maddening inconsistencies, holes, and downright contradictions in it.The particulars are too long to post here.I'll deal with all that by direct e-mail.Maybe between us, we can sort out some of it.
