Edward Drummond Izard 8/31/00
Sorry, I made a mistake, the last paragraph of my last response should read Thomas Ezard marries Elizabeth 20 Apr. 1782 Warren Co. NC.
I will dig thru my notes about Harrison Izard in the Rev. War.and write again. There was a Harrizon Izard who died in SC 1781 , who was a part of a regiment and that is what I must locate. He was massacred at a place called Israels creek. I don't know at this point if if was a skirmish or what.
Later.
Margaret Izzard in the 1800 census shows 1 female 26-45 yrs.with 3 males under 10 yrs.We surmised that this was a John Izzard's wife, a widow. Some others, I believe in the Gen forum say he abandoned his family?
Could have been Mason's oldest son's widow.
In the Jackson Co. Records (Georgia),November 2, 1807, William, Lewis, John and Nancy Ezzard, four children of John Ezzard bound to Robert Johnson and Edward Adams.
April 6, 1802, Nancy Morris, among others, names not shown, were bound to Mason Ezzard until reach age 18.
July 9, 1806 --Carter Hammeth bound to Mason Ezzard until age 15 yrs.
Now, all these "bounds" may have been to get more acreage in the Land Lotteries held in Ga.Maybe not in all cases.
