Rites Set for Mrs. Olin Evans
Mrs. Olin Evans, route 5, died at her home north of Tipton at 8:40 p.m. Thursday following an illness of two years.Mrs. Evans, who was 43, had been bedfast for the past seven weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the West Street Christian church, with Rev. Robert W. Morris in charge.Burial will be in the Fairview cemetery.The body was returned from Young's funeral home to the Evans home at 1 p.m. today, where it will lie in state until the time for services.
Mrs. Evans was born Sept. 22, 1903, to Lemuel R. and Dorothy Ellen (Heflin) Jack and she attended the Jack school near Hobbs.She was married to Olin Evans and they were the parents of two daughters, who survive.Mrs. Evans was a member of the West Street Christian church.
Surviving with the husband are two daughters, Mrs. Becky Boes, North Main street, and Joyce, at home; four brothers, William and Charles Jack, route 4, Robert Jack of Summitville and Armel Jack of Frankton; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Locke and Mrs. James Miller, both of Elwood; one grandson, Terry Boes, and several nieces and nephews.
