This is interesting... My gr. grandfather, John Traxler Myers, was born in Shippensburgh, Cumberland Co. PA.He had a sister, Margery "Margie" Myers b. 1832 who married (I believe) Jacob Jacoby.
(1880 Cessna, Hardin, "OHIO" Census (Jacob Jacobee).Listed children of Jacob and Margie Jacoby (Jacobee) are: Alfredage 22b. PA Janeage 17b. PA Ella P.age 14b. PA Jacobage 10b. PA Jida M.age6b. PA James M. age4b. PA
In 1880 the oldest child, Alfred, was 22 yrs. old.Do you think it could be possilbe that your gr. gr. grandfather John E. Jacoby could be a child of the above Jacob and Margie Jocoby?Alfred was born in 1858. There could have been a child born before him that was not living in the household at the time of the 1880 Census. If not their child.. A nephew?
This is all the information I have on this family other than having a picture of "Margie (Myers) Jacoby" in her later years.
