Re: Thomas James/Elizabeth Mace/Rachel Allen
There is a John Allen on the 1790 Census in Lincoln Co., I think is ours.I have seen other instances of people being in two counties on the same census, tho'.
I do have the 1830 Lincoln census page with Mary Allen and John Martin, whose land bordered John Allen's.
On the 1832, 1835, and 1836 tax lists in Lincoln there is an Ann Allen, but I think she is connected with Reubin, and I don't know who he is.Levi shows up on the 1835,1836and 1837 lists - and again, I don't know who he is.
Anne Allen, 90 years old, from "Mary Land" is on the 1860 Census with Henson Allen's family in Lumpkin Co., GAI thought she must be Benjamin's wife, but someone else suggested that she just might be an old auntie.I think she was Anne Palmour . . but she could have been Benjamin's sister Anna.
So good to have someone to share ideas.
