Re: Thomas James/Elizabeth Mace/Rachel Allen
James Black's (b. 11 July 1778; d. October 1824, Lincoln Co, NC; buried Unity Presbyterian Church.)father was the William Black Sr. from Lincoln Co. NC. William Sr. was born c.1749 and died c.1825 in Lincoln Co. He was in Lincoln Co. by the 1780's but I'm not sure where he was born or who his parents were or where they were from. That's what I'd really like to discover, but likely Scots-Irish. I've really hit a wall there.
William Black Sr. was married three times, and James' line, as well as mine, is from his first wife, name unknown.
James Black had a son, John J. Black (1821-1895)
John J. Black had a son, Thomas Samuel Black (1861-1925)
Thomas Samuel Black's son was Charles B. Black Sr., my GF.
Lots of siblings and spouses left out in this quickie outline, but those are the direct connections.
Thanks for your quick response.
