Janssen, Gerardus Johannes of Holland
Just started search for my paternal Grandfather, born to a large Dutch Catholic family in Haarlem, Holland, 1880s; married in a civil ceremony, to Trintje (tryn-chee) Kramer (craw'mer), two years older, born in Edam, Holland to a Dutch Reform family. They honeymooned on a ship to Canada where they lived in Winnipeg, during WWI, and then moved to British Columbia and later moved on to California. One of Gerardus, five brothers was known to have immigrated to the USA, and once lived in Washington (Vancouver?) or Oregon in the 1950s. Gerardus & Trintje (known to English-speakers as "Jack & Jane" Janssen, had two children, Margaret and Peter Gerard, both born in Canada. The American brother, Piet, had at least two children (a daughter who would be in her 80's today), that lived in the Pacific Northwest. Any info or guidance would be appreciated.
