I have been checking the "Janssen" board and came upon your message.I think we may be related?The farthest back I can find in our "Flesner" heritage is a Martha Janssen Behrens Garrelts (Garrelts being a second husband).Martha had a daughter Lena Behrens, whom married John Poppe in Peoria, IL 6/1/73.Martha also had a daughter that died at sea when they immigrated to America from Osterfrieland, Germany in early 1850's.Could this be part of your family? Would love to hear from you, Bonny
