Harmon Albers Janssen, b. abt 1850, lived Livingston Co., IL

By Marge Rice March 05, 2009 at 10:16:36

I have an original Cabinet Card photograph of “Harm Albers Jansen – father of W. J. Jansen”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Pontiac (Livingston Co.) IL in about 1890, and he looks to be approximately 40-45.

I found a Harm Rudolph Janssen, both in the 1910-1930 census records for Livingston Co, IL, and in the WWI Draft Registration, showing his DOB as 23 Feb 1878, His wife is listed as “Gesche”. Has to be a relationship between the Harm Albers in the photo, and the Harm Rudolph in the WWI registration, as they were in same county.1880 census for Clayton (Woodford Co.) IL shows Harmon Janssen, age 38, with wife Annie, age 30.Children were Henry, 5; Kate, 3; and Mary, 9 mo.

Get back to me at [email protected] if you are related to Harm Janssen or Jansen.
