If you look at the Dr Grace R Hebart papers stored at the University of Iowa in the Levy O Leonard collection it says:
Photo of Maggie Baptiste Meyers, daughter of Baptiste, son of Sacajawea March 28 1925.
Then you read story that Sacajawea had a brother in Montana who was a Crow Chief, then that by default makes Sacajawea a Crow Native American.
By clear Pittsburgh cemetery records, the Myers Phillips Levy family of Uriah Phillips Levy and his cousin Jefferson Monroe Levy are connected to Lewis and Clark expedition out of Pittsburgh.
My take on this is that every single one of the people on the Lewis and Clark boat are Kin in some way.If you read the book "The Meriwethers, The Lewises and their Kin, you will see that is how this family was doing business.
I would not be supprised that York would also related.
Sally Hemings, according to a letter written Thomas Jefferson to his cousin Gov Edmund Jennings Randolph, was 1/4 African American. Since her Children were 1/8 he wanted Gov Randolph to exempt them from Slave Laws.
