Hello Frances, I agree with that regarding the destination being a port. My US death records had my Johnson great-grandfather listed as Danish. Checking with census I found it said Germany, leading me to the history of Denmark and which part was under German rule during the time of his birth. More clues were in the cabinet photo cards I have, but we do not know which are Jensen or Johnson. Out of all the photo's only one was taken in Copenhagen, a clearly military uniformed gentleman. Where he was from or his name is unknown.
