Re: The Jetts, Tripletts and Washingtons
The Virginia immigrants, John and Lawrence Washington, were born in co. Essex. The first four generations of their agnatic ancestors were born and lived primarily in Northamptonshire. The next four generations were long-time residents of Lancashire. So yes, these families did migrate through time. However, the movements of families during the English civil war and the interregnum were not representative of their movements prior to the 17th century.
My interest in this topic has to do with whether it will further the search for the ancestors of Peter Jett. As I stated in my previous post, since there is no evidence of an early connection between the Jett and Washington families in Virginia and none has been cited from English records, I do not believe that this is a fruitful avenue for further speculation.
