I am interested in the marriage of Smith Varney Johnson to Martha Davidson in 1849 likely in Caistor Ontario. Do you have any information on Smith and Martha?

My gg grandmother was a Davidson (Christina Davidson, married to Richard Tice). I am trying to trace her family.

According to Dave Johnson (in the Genform Johnson Family Genealogy Forum), Smith Varney Johnson and Martha Davidson had a daughter Emma Ann Johnson (born 1851).

In the 1861 Census, an Emma A Johnson (9 years old, born 1852) was living with William and Ann Davidson (72 and 65 years old) in Caistor. Emma Johnson married James Fralick, and in the 1971 Census Emma and James Fralic were living with William and Ann Davidson in Caistor. William and Ann Davidson both died in 1871 and Emma and James Fralick were the informants at their deaths.

Based on all of the above, I assume that William and Ann Davidson are likely the parents of Martha Davidson.
