Ann,
Henry Finch's second wife was Martha (Penny) Jones, the widow of William Jones who died in Wake County, NC in 1796.Martha (Penny) Jones was the daughter of Edward Penny, who devised a will in Johnston County, NC in 1779 (proven 1782).William and Martha (Penny) Jones' daughter Frances "Fanny" Jones (d. 1822) married Drury Johnson in 1798. Fanny was the mother of Harriet (Johnson) Finch Atkins. Thus, Harriet Johnson's widowed grandmother Martha (Penny) Jones married Ethelbert's widower father Henry Finch in 1799.Henry Finch devised a will in Wake County, NC in 1817 (Proven 1820).His widow Martha was evidently deceased by 1822, since her estate is referenced in the inventory of her daughter Fanny (Jones) Johnson's estate.
Anna (Overby) Johnson was Drury Johnson's second and much younger wife. She was Harriet's step-mother.
As I mentioned in my previous posting, Harriet (Johnson) Finch received her allotment in the land division of her father Drury Johnson in 1854, but that tract was sold by J. T. Leach to her younger half-brother Drury Johnson, Jr. in 1856, which may indicate that Harriet was deceased by then.
