Dear Dr. Flanders,

I have a chart which shows a Nathaniel Johnston in the family of James Johnston m. Mary Macon, Randolph Co., NC.their descendants went south.

James's son Charles (1783-1840) m. Elizabeth Macon.
Their first son was Nathaniel (1810-1863) m. Persis Pennington.

Carolyn J. Moore descends from both Nathaniel and his brother, John Macon Johnston (1825-1912) who m. Caroline E. Moore.

Do you think this Nathaniel could be yours?I think they were in Ga. by this time. She lives in Louisiana.So they were a migrating family.
