I only looked at this line of Rosemary's because of our friendship in genealogy and my husband's other lines full of Johnstons, then he has genealogy from Fairfield Dist., SC as early as the 1750's, then into Mississippi.I have alot of Fairfield Co., SC research and their museum is fabulous, as is their genealogy room.If I were you I would ask to see what they have on this line...they are an active group or at least were in 2000-2001.
I know that if Stephen B. Johnston (the Dr.) married in Pickens Co., Alabama in 1848 he evidentally had to meet Priscilla Terry their. Is Terry's Texas Rangers anyway have to do with her kinfolk?I will look online at the Terry info.I know the cemetery records of Fairfield Dist./Fairfield Co. show some burials with a early Samuel, early David...but don't know whether they relate to Stephen Burr (the MD) or not.Can you e-mail me privately at [email protected] and I will see what I can come up with after nosing around.
