Johnstone of Annandale

My first Johnstone is a Barbara, married in Dumfries to one Lancelot Carlisle in 1648.The Carlisles are an interesting Annandale family, as are the Johnstones, but I can't find her birth anywhere.Can anyone shed any light?!
