I have made a map of part of Chambers County, Alabama (just across the border from Troup County, Georgia) which shows certain folks' land ownership, to include one Abner Jones.
Interestingly, Abner Jones has land sandwiched between parcels owned by Harris Franklin Norris. The JONES shown are Hardy Jones, Abner Jones, and James Jones.
I believe that Abner may be related to Hardy due to the fact that Hardy Jones, Jr. had a son (Seaborn Franklin Jones) who named his son Abner F. Jones. I'll go out on a limb here and guess Franklin for the "F." initial, and further that the name Franklin in the Jones line and the Norris line is not purely coincidence. Of course it is hard to say, given the known marriage between Jones and Norris, and the Jones-Jones marriage mentioned elsewhere in this thread.
The Hardy Jones line has already been sampled via DNA, so it would be interesting to have a sample from the Abner Jones line to see if it matched.
The map is here:

Even if Abner and Hardy are not blood relatives, I am still interested in the prospect of Abner being related to Martha Ann (Jones) Jones.
