I am no expert on Jordans, but I do descend from two Jordan lines - one of my mom's side and one of my dad's side. So, I've done a bit of research on these Jordans.
I've always been puzzled about the James G Jordan b 1838 who married Rebecca Manley in 1862 Franklin County, GA.James Jordan is in 1850 Franklin living in household of Dennis Phillips b. 1791 NC.In 1840 Franklin, Dennis Phillips is living next door to a Cheek (Burgess?)
There does appear to be something going on here with this James G Jordan b 1838 and the Phillips/Cheek family.I wonder if "Linda Jordan" in your Bible could have the mother of James G. Jordan?
